On a chilly Tuesday evening at Downers Grove South High School the Red Devil's lacrosse team was carried to victory by junior attack Jack Crews. In their first action in two weeks due to spring break the Devils looked sluggish and slow. Crews, however, came to play and its a good thing he did. His 4 goal and 2 assist night set the 6 point scoring standard on this young season and was the spark HCHS needed to sneak out of Downers Grove with a 13-10 victory. Senior Mark Ferrino and Junior Peter Madden each added three goals to provide the additional punch needed to seal the deal.
The Devils, 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference, have a quick turn with a Thursday evening rival game against Lyons Township. The LT game will pair the two rivals, ranked number 9 and number 13 respectively, in an early season clash that has significant conference championship implications.
